Accompanied by Lieutenant General Manfred Hofmann – the Corps' Commander, Mr. Przyłębski met with the Corps' flag officers as well as our key Polish personnel. In the first place, the Ambassador was familiarized with the transformation that the Corps has been pursuing in order to take a leading role as the only NATO High Readiness (Land) Force Hearquarters in North-eastern Europe. Mr. Przyłębski found it rewarding to be informed about all of the progress that has already been made.
"The Corps protects efficiently the region it is responsible for. I also found out that in the Corps, people of very many nationalities successfully cooperate with each other." – stated the Ambassador.
His Excellency Mr. Andrzej Przyłębski, the Ambassador of Poland to Germany visited the Corps for the first time.
The significance of mutual understanding and support among the countries involved has been repeatedly stressed by Mr. Przyłębski, who took up his post in Berlin in July 2016. Referring to a rapidly developing security environment, he also recognized the importance of the Polish-German partnership within NATO.
"I always emphasise that in case of security, both sides understand the seriousness of the situation and cooperate very well." – summarized our distinguished guest.
