Polish Commitment

On 16 September, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mr Mateusz Morawiecki, paid a visit to Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast. Poland is both the host nation and a framework nation of the Corps which has been operating since 1998.  

While in Szczecin, Mr Morawiecki met with HQ MNC NE’s leadership and soldiers. He was thoroughly familiarized with the high-readiness status of the Corps and updated on the latest developments within it. 

I believe that the multinational cooperation of soldiers and officers from NATO countries will help us to strengthen the defence of the eastern flank of the Alliance. – stated the Prime Minister.

Mr Morawiecki reaffirmed that Poland is a dedicated member of NATO and upholds its commitments to European security and stability.

Poland, next to Denmark and Germany, constitutes one of the three pillars upon which HQ MNE NE is built as its host nation and as a framework nation. Currently, there are nearly 200 Polish personnel serving in the Corps.
