Progress and Recommendations

On 29 January, a group of Military Representatives to NATO Military Committee (MILREPs) visited Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE). The visitors were acquainted with current state of the implementation of the last two NATO summits deliverables, especially those related to HQ MNC NE’s responsibilities focused on the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP). 

The NATO Military Committee consists of each of the Allies’ Chief of Defence Staff and is responsible for translating political decision into military direction. It provides guidance to the two Strategic Commanders – Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. MILREPs visiting HQ MNC NE paid particular attention to our activities related to the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP).
We are here both to assess the recent progress and come up with some recommendations for the future.

Given its geostrategic location, expertise and high-readiness capabilities, HQ MNC NE provides the command and control umbrella for the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battle Groups and NATO Follow-on Forces so that these troops are able to respond immediately to any threat across the full spectrum of warfare. Today, all the key initiatives on NATO’s north-eastern flank join up in Szczecin.
