Christmas is a special period of the year for millions of people. Regardless of our faith or denomination, it is a time of joy and hope. This year, however, many families will have to change their routines in order to keep their loved ones safe.
But there is one thing that hasn't changed — military life has taught us how to overcome hardships. That is why I am very proud of you for continuing to show your remarkable spirit and resolve. You have proven that even in the most difficult conditions there are growth and progress that pave the way for a better future. By standing up to your tasks with such a great deal of commitment you demonstrate your unity and ability to care for one another — traits that remain at the forefront of our work.
So, even though this year many of us will not gather at one table for Christmas, we will be bonded more than ever. Our community is built upon shared values, and they will always keep us together. Let me wish everyone a healthy and peaceful Holiday season. Stay safe and well.
