On 12 January, soldiers of Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) participated in a charity event organized by The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation. They were one of many volunteers who joined in to raise funds for children in need.
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is the biggest annual charity campaign run across Poland. It has been providing financial assistance to children hospitals and other healthcare institutions since 1993.

Each year, the organisers set up a programme of outdoor entertainment, including food trucks, kids activities, artistic workshops and live music. The money raised come from auctions and donations to collecting tins.
HQ MNC NE has been voluntarily involved in the fundraiser for a few years. MAJ Dennis Williams of the U.S. Army is one of those who signed up to support the cause yet another time in a row.
“I participated in this event last year, and was moved by the level of attendance from Szczecin residents. Despite the rain, thousands showed up to donate. The armed forces are part of the integrated community – even in a multinational sense – and it is important that we express our shared regard for such a praiseworthy purpose.” – MAJ Williams said.
On site, our staff had their own tent opened to the public. There were numerous gift items and hot soup prepared for those who stopped by. The day was filled with much talk and laughter, while fostering ties with the local community.
