Soldiers bring holiday cheer to kids in need

SZCZECIN, Poland — Soldiers from the Headquarters' German National Support Element purchased and delivered Christmas presents to the kids from a local Day Care Centre. This was not the first act of our personnel's community involvement.

Children at a local Szczecin Day Care Centre were recipients of gifts from a group of Santas dressed in army uniforms. This Christmas surprise was prepared by the soldiers from our Headquarters' German National Support Element together with their spouses. It is thanks to their personal involvement that dozens of sweets, toys and other items were purchased, wrapped up and distributed amongst kids facing difficult life situations.

Our German NSE team regularly supports socially and economically disadvantaged children. The NSE soldiers have been collecting donations for local youth facilities since the very establishment of the Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast. They say they hope to brighten up the Holiday season for those in need:

We are happy to help the kids have a merry Christmas. It is about service to the community.
