Battle Staff Training (BST) was a useful means for Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast's (MNC NE) to ensure the personnel and systems were ready for Steadfast Jupiter 21. In the run-up to the exercise, it helped the MNC NE command identify shortfalls, best practices, and execute their function. BST consisted of a series of battle drills or scenarios relating to the Battle Rhythm and the products that support it. These actions aided the staff to introduce necessary amendments ahead of the evaluation.
Additionally, the integration and synchronization of new staff members required a focus on the individual processes and products. The drills concentrated on the source and flow of information throughout the organization. Upon completion of BST, the MNC NE staff were fully integrated and prepared for Steadfast Jupiter 2021. Planned for mid-October, STJU21 will be NATO's largest computer-assisted command post exercise of the year.
