HQ Multinational Corps Northeast holds Civil-Military Cooperation seminar

SZCZECIN, Poland - On 26-27 May, Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC NE) conducted the annual Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Seminar. Its central aim was to increase the synergy within the Corps' own command and control structures with regard to all CIMIC-related issues, and to optimize the cooperation with the National Home Defence Forces (NHDF) across the Baltic region.

As the NATO Regional Land Component Command, HQ MNC NE continuously develops its situational awareness across the full CIMIC spectrum. The objectives of the seminar was to continue the assessment of the civil situation and its impact on the Headquarters' and its sub-units’ activity as well as the de-confliction of CIMIC activities, including in the Baltic Sea region. Due to the current COVID-19 situation the seminar was organized in a hybrid model combining plenary briefings and online VTC sessions.

The event gathered representatives from higher headquarters, NHDFs, subordinated units, cooperating partners, academics, think-tanks including briefers from Centre for Eastern Studies and Polish Institute for International Affairs.
