German soldiers with HQ Multinational Corps Northeast provide assistance to children in need

SZCZECIN, Poland - In May, the soldiers of Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast's German National Support Element (NSE) officially prolonged the partnership agreement between NSE and the Szczecin Children's Care Center.

As a token of this renewed cooperation, the members of the German NSE donated a gas grill to ensure that future events organized by the care center will not be without culinary delights. To celebrate the occasion, the staff, the soldiers and the children spent a pleasant afternoon eating delicious food prepared on the new grill. "We appreciate any help we receive, but we especially cherish this long lasting cooperation," Ms Romana Klimek-Jacoszek, the Center director, said

The German NSE team is actively involved in supporting socially and economically disadvantaged kids. The soldiers have been collecting donations for local youth facilities since the very establishment of the Headquarters in 1999. CTP Wilfling, the German NSE chief, concluded:

For all the soldiers in the Corps this story reaches straight to our hearts as we also have children, and we know how important it is to foster such connections.
