SZCZECIN, Poland – On February 16-17, U.S. soldiers assigned to the Apache and Berserker Companies with the 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division conducted a live fire exercise with M1A2 Abrams tanks and M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles in Bemowo Piskie, Poland. The battalion and its supporting units are working alongside NATO Allies as part of NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Poland.

With the United States as the Framework Nation, NATO eFP Battlegroup Poland is currently led by the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment and comprises three other Allies, i.e. the U.K. Royal Lancers, Prince of Wales Troop, the Romanian Sky Guardians and the Croatian Panzer Battery.
